Anyone know where I can find out the specs on the Soul Edge Cabinet? IE how big it is, what type of monitor is in it, joystick type, etc...?
I was thinking of getting one and converting it to a MAME cabinet...
I've tried http://www.arcade-history.com but it says it only has 4 buttons and in the picture there is 8 per joystick... Also it doesn't have all the details...
Thanks in advance!

www.klov.com for all your arcade info needs.
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9635 - Soul Edge
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9636 - Soul Edge Ver.II
Doesn't have cabinet dimensions but it does have the rest of the info you were after.
Hope this helps.

4 action buttons per player: Guard, Horizontal Attack (A), Vertical Attack (B), and Kick laid out like so:
A B K
G
There are also start buttons for each player.
I think every Soul Edge I've seen was a conversion kit (including the v.2 board I have now. Most I ever played had a 25" standard-resolution monitor.
For many cabinets the dimensions will be on the flyers. Unfortunately, Soul Edge's flyer (http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=thumbs&db=videodb&id=2862) doesn't have any.

Ive never seen a dedicated soul edge; most were conversions in midway cabs from what I remember.

Thanks guys for these sites. I'll have to add them to my bookmarks.
As you can see in this picture (kind of bad quality) it appears the control panel has 8 buttons for each controller. I guess this must be some conversion cabinet or something

Thanks again for the info

I've got a cabinet with a Soul Edge II VerC PCB in it. It is a conversion (the cab is called an "LAI Galaxy").
Four buttons per player!
I have a manual for it!
