Bucs?

It's like 1 and 2 Bucs and Pats. I live within 5 minutes of Gillette Stadium. It's mandatory.
They rarely ever play each other so it works out. There was a stretch of four years where either the Bucs or the Pats won the Super Bowl. That rocked.
-
As a Bears fan living in Indy, I can respect that.
Was a Bears fan in 70's and 80's before the Colts got here. Before the Colts came, we got every Bears and Bengals games here as we weren't a local market. I work with a bunch of teenage boys who can't understand why I like the Bears. I watch and want the Colts to win every game except when they play the Bears. Last year didn't work out so well for em... Nice seeing all the jackasses here jumping on the Colts bandwagon too.
I can name almost every skill player from 85 on and a helluva lot of linemen too. Pathetic that some people claim to have been big fans for years and they don't know jack about em.
To the OP, didn't mean to hijack the thread! :)

BTW, as a Pats fan, eff the 85 Bears.
Just sayin'.

You got your wins lately. Pipe down.
-
It's true.
Losing the Super Bowl hurts more when you're 10, I think. I wouldn't have said that about the '96 Packers.
-
I would agree with that.
I do have a Lee Roy Selmon coaster on my desk from his restaurant in Tampa. Didn't see him play much there but always enjoyed it. Was able to go to Colts v. TB about 9 years ago or so. Have a buddy who is a big TB fan so we snagged tix.

I'm a Bucs fan..they aren't doing to bad this year. Just hopefully not as bad as last year. The patriots are a good team minus the cheating.
-
I'm looking forward more to the gators taking another championship...but with all the new players I have my doubts..just a little. Tebow's kicking some ass though.
-
I think what they did to the Bills was 100x worse than what they did to the Jets. No one in the media seems to have mentioned that at all.
You should see what they're building at Gillette right now. They're calling it "the biggest retail shopping destination in new england", with hotels, a hospital, all kinds of crap. It's freakin' huge.

I'm ecstatic with how this season is going for the Bucs thus far. Garcia is playing better than I'd dared hope and its' making a real difference. I looked at their schedule before the season started and thought "dammit, they could be 0-4 or 1-5 and be out of it by mid october"... who knew they'd beat the Saints and Rams and that the two NFC South favorites would both crap the bed?
-
This year is a weird one to start off with. They're has been alot of upsets this year and it's only started. And yes Garcia is playing a very very good start..but will it last. As for the Saints..they had a good run last year but so far they look like they have run out of Katrina steam. I do feel for the people but you can only run on a disaster for so long.

He seems to be picking up where he left off in philly and i must say i'm surprised. I thought all his best days were behind him.
You never know what you're going to get with a player from one team to the next sometimes.
-
From Philly is all you had to say....Don't I remember Philly fans booing and throwing things at Santa Claus :)
If you want to see more violence then throwing a signed Jeff Gordon shirt in front of 2 rednecks..go to a Phillie's game :)
-
Garcia needs a specific genre of offense to really use his skills... he can be a pure pocket passer but that's not his talent. That's why he didn't do so well in Detroit or Cleveland. Who does do well there anyway? Kitna and that's about it, I guess.
The one major disappointment in Tampa continues to be Carnell Williams. What a craptactular RB. Pittman is better every time they bring him in and Earnest Graham is running better now too.
-
Cadillac isn't doing that bad. He's injured and yes he's a little slow right off but he'll bounce back. Gruden still calls him the "featured back" but on that note can you really believe much in Gruden.

Williams has been "injured and a little slow" since week 5 of his rookie year. The whole damn time. He can't stay healthy enough to produce. Sit his ass.
-
I'm not saying he doesn't suck by any means..I'm just wishfully thinking and hoping. Garcia will be the one to watch this year.

The Bucs and Pats are a combined 10-2... I just thought I'd point that out. ;D
There is an outside chance of a Bucs-Pats super bowl... that could get ugly in my family.
EDIT: just found this quote:
"Brady is a good quarterback, but don't discredit us," safety Roy Williams said. "Just because we didn't stop them on third down doesn't mean we're not a good defense."
Dumbass. It pretty much does mean you're not a good defense.
-
I'll take the Cowboys over the Bucs any day.
-
I agree that the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC right now. Definitely. Watch out for what Owens can do to a team in that spot - ask a Philly fan about it.

I think he'll be fine through the Super Bowl. As long as we make it. I think we would cut him after that except we don't have any other good options at receiver. I'm really impressed with the receiving corp New England put together in the off season. Any team could have signed and/or traded for those guys, but New England actually did it.
-
You may have to watch out for the Giants. They are coming together now and have a pretty damn easy schedule. Right now it looks like they only have two surely tough games left (Dallas / New England). The rest are all middle of the pack teams at best.
