i just picked up the worldest largest crt monitor. its a mitsubishi 42 inch monster!
weighs about 300 pounds.
now i am trying to figure out what kind of cab to build with it.
its probally going to be a two person upright with a trackball in the center.
to finance this project, i am going to have to sell two of my other mame cabs.
but in the end it looks i might have the largest cab.
please correct me if i am wrong.
this is monitor will display up to 1280*1024 so i can play modern games
like tiger woods golf and halo3.

When you go... go big.
I don't think this is going to work out well in an upright. You need to get enough distance between you and the monitor to reduce eyestrain. My 27" monitor in an upright is about all I can take. Driving cabinets use bigger monitors but you have distance between the seat and the monitor.
Think showcase style cabinet.

Yeah, you definitely want a showcase style cab with that size monitor. Although they use up a lot more room, on the upside you're almost encouraged to make a humongous panel.

I think you are wrong. There are probably horribly ugly monstrosities that are even bigger with 6 foot control panels, but they only use a measily 27" monitor.
This stands to be the mame cab with the largest monitor, and hopefully the best looking giant cab.
