Rick,
Some feedback about Southern Music. I drove well out of my way to go to them in person, looking for a ton of stuff for my arcade project, and they pretty much blew me off.
I attempted to contact them by email as well several times and never got a reponse.
When I was asking about monitor recommendations they suggested Wells Gardner and never mentioned Nieman.
Just some feedback from a local Calgarian. :-\

You mention BC in the title but nothing in your post.

Thanks for the comments guys....
man don't know what I was thinking.... BC, contact Pacific Vend, my apologies, they have been one our longest, strongest distributors.
Southern Music... they just signed on recently so that might explain the push on Wells.. do notunderstand being "blown off"

Yah I have no idea, I mean I spent upwards of $1500 with Starburst but Southern just didn't seem to want to give me the time of day.
Might just be Calgary, seems difficult these days giving someone money for a product. I remember the days where people would work to get your money for a product.
You should have seen what I had to go just to order 4 measly sheets of melamine. It was like I was ordering banned electronic parts from Korea.

I guess these are companies that normally deal with other companies, not private persons, and they want to shift "volumes" instead of just a small number of anything (Although $1500,- cannot be just a small number of things). They consider you as a small fish and you take too much of their time for too little money....
I'm glad that there are companies who think differently. I regularly buy at Suzo's head-office here in Holland (they have a take-away counter) and they are very friendly and never give me the idea of being a small fish to them, even though I know I am. They know what I need the parts for, and even though videogames are getting less and less important for their business, they like what I do. Often when I order something like "2 light-bulbs,24V" they just give me a full blister of them at no extra charge.
It's stupid to think in "small fish" because you never know how big it could grow...
