my housemate has a copy of this cd:

as she is learning the drums. does anyone know where to get the music for drums? needs to be in standard notation, not tab. and free of course ;D

no.
what i do is that a friend lives across the street and he has internet. if i need something, we signal each other with mirrors. sometimes it gets a bit tedious. it took me 30 minutes for him to type this response for instance ::)
now besides the fact that i cant actually see any of the scores porported to be on that site, none of those songs are on the cd. the only BAND that is (qotsa) is a different song.
so to restate the question, i need drum scores for (any) the following:
E:\Track01.cda The Hives - A.K.A I-D-I-O-T- With Drums
#EXTINF:129,Various Artists - The Vines - Get Free- With Drums
E:\Track02.cda
#EXTINF:207,Various Artists - Bowling For Soup - Girls All The Bad Guys Want- With Drums
E:\Track03.cda
#EXTINF:216,Various Artists - Sum 41 - In To Deep- With Drums
E:\Track04.cda
#EXTINF:176,Various Artists - Jimmy Eat World - The Middle- With Drums
E:\Track05.cda
#EXTINF:262,Various Artists - Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows- With Drums
E:\Track06.cda
#EXTINF:179,Various Artists - Blink-182 - The Rock Show- With Drums
a score should be made of that squiggling stuff that looks like this:

not some MIDI file or tablature or something that is not a score :dunno

sorry dude my attempt at humour was unapreciated obviously, what i meant was there is a lot of stuff out there, that was the first page on google when searching for free drum scores, which i seem to be able to see on there.
as youre looking for specific songs im sure if the scores exist youll find a sample at least.
i would suggest she gets a teacher and then he could just write them for her, drumming is generally simple particularly in some of the cases mentioned. :)
ps you should try living in wales, the last 20 miles of my connection is by pit pony

Slightly off topic but I highly recommend a book for any aspiring drummer - "The Funky Primer" by Charles Dowd. Really usefull book - can't say enough good things about it. Worth every penny.

hehe. she HAS a teacher. who let her borrow the cd (from the shop he works at. risked getting his arse kicked for it) and burn it. cd and book are about 50 bucks however. in this day and age its much, much easier to get a free cd than the book that might have come with...
