Just wonder if anyone can help.
I know that pressing F1 will do this, but my mame machine is in a dedicated cabinet and has no keyboard.
Is there a way around this?
Thanks in advance

Easy way: Compile with the hiscore.diff in the top sticky (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64298.0) of this software forum.

Will this really fix the problem...I thought it was a hi score save feature.
Also, for this game, I'm use mame 1.02. Where would I go to get that diff for this version.
Thanks

Looking at MKChamp's earliest hiscore patch (.107), the crosshair part of the patch appears to be the same in the source files of Mame .102. If that is the case, in the drawgfx.c file you would change the following line in that file from:
static int crosshair_enable=1;
to:
static int crosshair_enable=0;
Then recompile.
Does that look right, MKChamp?

Does that look right, MKChamp?
Yep, that's all that's necessary. I don't really know why it would be on by default considering it's not 'authentic' to the games...

Dam you guys (SGT & MKChamp) are geniuses.
A perfect fix!!
Cheers guys.
Also, what's the best light gun to use with this and other shooting games,
Thanks again....

I tend to lean toward the EMS guns. The are perfect except the distance you have to be from the screen. However, the fact that they can track real time...
The act-labs guns are good in the fact that you can be 'right up' on the screen..but they don't track...and everytime you fire, it flashes the screen. If you are playing with a buddy and both of you are blasting away watch out for ceisures.
I have 2 EMS guns AND 2 act-lab guns...and will sell the act-labs to whoever wants them.

I am working through some issues on my (1) act labs lightgun right now... it's offset by 100 pixels or so (depends shooting distance) vertically... It's dead on horizontally... great customer support though (you can return the guns, and they also reply to emails the same day with full paragraphs of help / troubleshooting). I am not comfortable ordering the other one "LCD" brand all the way from Hong Kong.

Thanks for that!!
I'm not comfortable ordering either of them, as I'm located in New Zealand!!
If you get it going correctly, could you post back here.....
Also, do you get the "flashing" on screen every time you pull the trigger, like MKChamp described?
Cheers
