I have a 36' RCA HDTV/ Multimedia Monitor that I am using for my pc monitor, and my Mame cabinet when it is done. It has an SVGA input and will support up to 800x600. FOr some reason, on a few games..and even regular windows games, it will not get a clear picture. The picture is distorted like a tv with the vertical hold turned all the way up. It seems to be when things show up in a certain resolution, maybe 640x480, but it is definatly lower res then the 800X600 that it can do, and which it runs in Windows XP most of the time. I have a Nvidia GX4400 graphics card in it. Any help would be great!

Its switching the refresh rate to something OTHER than 60Hz. (eg 70, 72, 85, 90...) TV's can only sync at 60Hz, interlaced. When you activate the TV out, it has to be in that mode. Anything else and it will not "catch" the sync signals, and thus give you a scrambled/rolling/etc.. picture.

This TV is ALSO a svga monitor though, and is hooked up as such. Therefore, it is not connected thru any kind of TV-outs. It's connected thru regular svga cable, just like any other PC monitor would. However, I do believe the 60hz is correct. The question is, anything I can do about it? Im running xp btw.
