Title: Wei-Ya/Billabs monitor settings
Post by: arcadegamer on September 15, 2007, 03:15:18 pm
Hello,

Could someone provide a good set of monitior settings (i.e Horizontal 80, Trapezoid 50 , Pincushion 20, etc)
to use with a Wei-Ya/BILLABS BL27CB0P monitor ?  I've tried various combinations and have trouble getting both edges to be straight.  Unfortunately I didn't write what the defaults were when I first got it.  :banghead:

I'm using the Ultimarc ArcadeVGA video card and Mame32.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Brendan

Settings don't translate between monitors. If they did, all monitors could be set perfectly at the factory. And honestly, arcade monitors don't have the rock solid geomtery of a standard PC monitor. While you make get the geometry close to perfect, it'll never get totally perfect.

don't you have a factory reset or a rescan facility on this monitor

Perfectly straight is not going to happen, typically you expand ther picture just beyond the screen, there is usually a fair amount of overscan in the games to allow for this.
