Title: G07 Horizontal Size Adjust?
Post by: cornishHen on September 15, 2007, 01:05:53 pm
I just replaced caps, flyback, and HOT on an Electrohome G07.   The horizontal size is about 1/4 inch off in each direction.  I know this because the current display doesnt line up with the existing burnin.    I have found the horizontal position adjustment, but that only shifted the picture left and right.  I tried adjusting the width coil, but I didn't notice a difference.  Where is the proper place to adjust g07 horizontal size?

I did alittle more searching in the message boards, and I may have found my problem.. I've been trying to use an allen wrench to adjust the coil.  I'll try and get the specialized tool then post back if still problems.

How to adjust:

Changing the value of the width capacitor to change the range of width:

Not only that, but you have to turn the ferrite inside the coil a lot to have any effect.  It's not like a pot.

So is there any effect when you adjust the width coil??

If so there is a possibility that capacitors in the B+ section had rawn the B+ down. this wil cause less width and more height.

Are the burn-in's also more height??

If so this would support this theory??

In this case, yo may have to increase the B+ to match the burns.

Good Luck
