Title: Keywiz with LED-Wiz+GP
Post by: layoric on September 14, 2007, 03:57:20 pm
First time build. I'd like to make a simple swappable panel. Thing is, my idea is to have the p1 and admin buttons located on the cabinet, but not on the panel. This means it'll be easiest (for me) to have a sep. controller for those cabinet buttons. Is this doable? I can only see a possible issue with mame or whatever frontend used, as the wiring would be the same as if using a single controller.

Thanks for any input!

Don't see why not. It's just a matter of the way you wire it. Wire the admin buttons separate from the cp so when you change the cp, it doesn't affect the admin buttons.

You don't need a separate controller for those buttons.   Just keep the controller on the cab and connect the wires to it via a connector of some sort when you change panels.   This is the cheapest way to go as you only need a single controller.

Thanks guys - I like the idea of the one controller. Keeps things simpler.

I've changed my panel so many times, I wonder if I'll ever finish this thing! :-\
