I have a Nanao MS8-26SU and I cannot get the V.HOLD to work again before it was running on composite sync where both H&V where together.
I added the wire for V and now I cannot get it to stay still with out line for longer then 10 seconds then it slowly rolls eitherway and cusing line's from left to right on the screen.
I been messing with it for over an hour and just when I think it is going to stay still 10 seconds later it starts to go up or down.
for some reason it is like the pot is very very toachy like I can barely toach it with a finger and it has an effect just by toaching lightly.
is the pot broken?
is there a way to turn down the strengh of it perhaps to calm it's function a little maybe?

it sounds like you're not gonna get the light gun working on this monitor

would my video amp have anything to do with it?

Possibly.... have you tried it without it?
And yes, the pot could be faulty.
What are you running on this monitor?

pc with arcade vga v.2 ran to a video amp.
avga to amp with regular vga cable then amp to monitor with R.G.B.GRD.H.V
I wired H to H and V to V to have them seperate.
when I had it on composite it displayed great with no problems but since I split them apart on there own I cannot get it to stay still for longer then a few seconds.
does the amp even power them hold functions at all?

So why not just put it back to composite sync?
The quality won't be any different on an arcade monitor, what you see is what you get.
Some monitors accept composite sync better than seperate sync.
It all relies on what the ArcadeVGA is outputing, the monitor needs wired to match it.

I was told the act labs light guns needed to be on a seperate H and V so I spent the day making mine split.
I also was told if the V is hooked up on this type monitor it will take it out of composite sync and seperate the H and V from each other as long as the V is toaching the right signal.
I recently put it back to composite sync the way I had it before and once again it display's great and the pot was nowere near as toachy as before and I had it tuned in good around 5 seconds were I spent over an hour trying the H and V seperate and it never stayed still right.
I guess if the act labs work when I get them in as is then I'm good and if they don't work I will be putting them up for sale :laugh2:
