Hi all,
I am really stuck at the moment !!
I've been building my cab now for a couple of weeks (mini cab ('project announcement' to follow soon)) and I just can't nail the control panel layout.
I would like my cab to have a 1 player option (for obvious reasons) with a trackball, but just don't know what joystick, buttons or trackball to go with.
Obviously, being based in the UK, I am limited to only a couple of vendors to get parts, but there seems to be an overwhelming amount of stuff to choose from.
So my questions are as follows:
What buttons do I choose? What is the best 8 way (switchable 4) joystick to go with? And where can I find dimensions to layout the said components in Photoshop?
I'm sure that there are posts on the forums, and I have done extensive searches. But the information about what people recommend is just so confusing.
My CP is 6" x 18" so obviously I will be cramped for space. Can anyone recommend a layout, or what I should go with? I really want a trackball installed as one of my favorites is Chrystal Castles.
HELP!
Thanks is advance guys -- any input would be much appreciated!

Check out Ponyboy and Divemaster in the B/S/T forum. I don't know if they ship to the UK but they're prices are great (actually, it's their shipping prices that makes them great) and they have everything you're looking for.
I happen to love Ultimarc's Ultrastick 360, btw, which is software mappable for 4-way, 8-way, analog, diagonal 4-way, etc. It's pricier but the versatility can't be beat. And you can't go wrong with Happs parts for buttons/trackball. Also check eBay to see if anyone has some parts for good deals. I got a 3" Happs trackball for $30.

I hear they can ship things all over the world now.

Thanks guys...
There was one vendor in the UK (who shall remain nameless!) who charges are absolutely extortionate! This is what prompted me to write.
I'll check out the B/S/T forum.
