Dated yesterday from their site:

Update April 29, 2003
It's official - due to the enthusiastic response, we are proceeding with the design and manufacturing of the TV Light Gun. The approximate ship date is late May/2003. Thanks for your support!

This was announced a long time ago by them on thier message boards, they don't update thier site too often (at all)

right, but now they have a shipping date, May, which is today.

if htey are just proceeding now with the design and manufacture i wouldn't expect it in may.

Nah, that has been on their webpage for well over a month.  The only thing new in the April 29th anouncement was the late May date being added.  It's reasonable to believe that the May date if valid.
