I'm hoping that someone here can help me out. I bought a serial LCD quite a while ago (over a year), but never got around to using it. I've got the spot for it now and I can't find the sheet that came with it telling me how to hook it up. I seem to remember that I needed to build a harness that would provide power on one of the db9 pins, but I don't know which pin or what voltage, and I can't remember where I got it.
I know that the LCD is this one: http://www.pjrc.com/store/mp3_display.html , but it doesn't have the button board, instead it has a little daughter board with the db9 connector on it
Hopefully, someone here bought the same one and can fill me in.
Many Thanks,
Neal

Found on the same site you listed.
Is that what you needed?

I wish - unfortunately my board doesn't have anything like what is described there. There is no power connector next to the db9 (there aren't any connectors anywhere).

Yours appears to have a daughter board of some kind that has the RS232 (?) type input.
Maybe you could use some information from these sites to trace the pinout back to your db9 connector.

just remove the daughterboard, it's hooked to the inputs on the board.......note, the inputs from memory are TTL, so, there's a good chance that the board is RS232 as someone suggested.
post up whhat the chips are on the board, maybe someone can ID it from the components!
the flash chip is a 32 pin PLCC, you can download the code off paul's website and prog it into your own chip
