This may sound like a strange question, but what is the best way to turn on the games in a personal arcade? The way I do it now is to plug them into various power strips, turn their switches on, and then just turn the games on and off with the power strip, as opposed to turning on the power strip and then each individual arcade game.
I onkly ask because I was curious if this would damage anything. I assume it wouldn't because as I recall growing up that is the way all of the major arcades did it. There wasn't a guy who went around every morning and flipped each of the switches for the individual games, they just flipped the main breaker or the power strips.
Thanks!

There should be no problem as long as the total power required by your games does not exceed either the power strip or the circuit you are plugged into. Remember when first turning on the game the surge current can be higher then the current required when operating so your power strip may begin to trip when the games are turnned on all at once.

Thanks, I'll check it. Worst that happens is the power strip trips at start up - correct? Thanks again.

I just invested in 2 of these from ebay:
It is an 8 switch "DJ LIGHTING" power center. It has a 15amp breaker built in. Individual arcade games can be powered up conveniently. I am going to just set two of these on top of a couple of cabinets and power 4 from one and 4 from the other.

Those look awesome, can you send me the link? Thanks!
