Title: scrolling problems in Mala (yes ive read the wiki)

ive done searches, and ive googled, and ive read the wiki over and over....but i still cant seem to get scrolling working properly in mala.  ive all the delay settings just like the wiki.  ive got only text selected in the display option, ive changed the keyboard option thing...but still its not working.  here's what happens:

when i hold down on the joystick (mapped to the down arrow on the keyboard) it will go down to the next game but the screenshot will not display until i let go of the joystick.  what should be happening is that i hold down, it scrolls, and when i let go...the screenshot shows up for a game thats several lines down.  however, i HOLD down, and it just goes down one game and stops and wont display the screenshot until i let go. 

the down direction works for mame and all my emus, so its not a control issue.  its got to be a mala setting issue, but ive got it set just like in the wiki.  whats the deal?

Hulkster,

Do you use an IPAC?  If so, check out this thread:

You may need a $12 upgrade chip or check with Swindus to see if he has any near future plans for a software resolution.

wow...how in the heck did i miss this thread??  i promise i searched... "scrolling mala" and "mala scrolling".  maybe im just retarded.

yeah, and after some friendly  ::) banter back and forth with swindus....mala will not be "fixed" to support scrolling for older IPACs any time soon.  doh!  :banghead:  ah well.

He grants a lot of wishes at the cost of his time and no cost to us, so I guess we can't get too upset if the odd change request is rejected.  :)

I wonder if a plug-in could help here?  I will ponder.  :dunno
