Hi everyone, I am new to this and hope not to make too many mistakes building my first mame.
My part guy is offering me both a 25" or 33" arcade monitor for the same price ($150).
The cabinet is an ultimate arcade II.
Should I go for the larger monitor? Would the 33" look too big in such a cabinet? Be too much " in your face"; Is the resolution typically worse on these monster monitors? What else should I consider before I decide?
Thanks for your help!!!

I find the bigger the monitor the harder it is to play games. Seems when the monitor is large you actually have to move your head. I have a 19" in my cab for that reason. The 25" MsPac/Galaga reunions are real tough for me to play. If your choice is between 25" & 33" I personally would go for the 25.

It sounds like the 33 would be too large based on your distance from the cabinet.
Here is a trick I found that works for me... Stand at the control panel in the playing stance. Reach your right arm straight out. If any finger touches the bezel, more than a 27" monitor is going to be uncomfortable.
I have a 27" mounted vertically in a regular stand up cab, and it's just on the comfort threshold.

Definitely 25" for your UAII. I would only use 33" for a showcase cabinet. Also, the scanlines on larger monitors at CGA resolutions are much bigger.

Take them both, and build a showcase too!
Seriously though, 25" is the max you would want in a UAII cab.

Thanks a lot guys, I'll stick with the 25" option; it will be better for my eyes and save some lumber too!
