Title: G-07 grey screen
Post by: t8erbug on September 01, 2007, 08:34:51 pm
I received a Missile Command with no picture. I did a cap. kit with flyback form Bob. Unfortunately all I get is a gray screen. I but the board from a working G-07 in and it and I get the same thing. I don't see anything lighting up in the neck of the tube. Any suggestions where to look next.

If the screen is grey and slightly lit, I would suspect it's not getting a signal.

Turn up your screen control on your flyback.  Does the screen turn white?

It lightens up but never gets white. I also checked voltages coming to the neck board and all are present. The board I'm using works fine on another G-07

Game board? or Monitor chassis?

Sounds like the monitor is working...... the game board is not.

I agree with Kevin.  Unless the game plays blind.  That is, you credit the game and get game sounds with no picture?

The monitor board works fine in another chassis. The RGB and Sync wires coming to the monitor board from the game board are reading 4v dc each on the RGB and 3.8v and 1v on the sync.

Does the game play WITHOUT the monitor connected?

I don't get any sound out of the machine when i turn it on. So I'm assuming no. Ill try to get a reading out of the sound board.
