See how The Man always has to come down on true genius? It's no wonder no one aspires to anything anymore. :banghead:
-
That was definitely ingenious, way better than putting a car on the roof or stealing a statue that they just replaced from the last one being stolen 20 some years ago :~
-
That was funny

It was totally worth it. ;D
At our high school, they banned inter-grade insulting. You know, like when the seniors chanted "Freshman suck" or the classic turn their backs and read a newspaper when the freshmen are introduced at a pep rally. Pep rallys were never the same...

We were able to obey the rules enough to keep ours. They bribed us with an hour lunch if we behaved.
-
At least they haven't banned tag yet at your school:

Erm, yes they did. It was our school system that was in the news for that in the spring.
-
Ah nevermind. Carry on. :laugh2:

It was ingenious when Yale came up with the prank first. This kid just copied it. He's an ambitious kid, for sure; but he's no genius.
On no, I just Chaded in a Chad thread. :badmood:

No, it was ingenious when Caltech (http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=132) came up with it first.
Yale's video was pretty funny, though.
-
Doesn't matter who came up with it. Anyone who can trick 800 people at once into slamming themselves in public simultaneously is a genius. Even if it's a known method.
-
That's a pretty low bar you've set for "genius". This puts most of your posts in a whole new light. 8)

The kid put 20 hours into a thirty second prank.

Like these? http://hacks.mit.edu/
Go back a few years for the more interesting ones. My favorite is probably this one (http://hacks.mit.edu/Hacks/by_year/1990/vest_bboard/).

The first time I read that, I thought you said Keltech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lcRkaXOla4). I was about to start clapping. :applaud: The link is unrelated - but it's one of the coolest scratch DJ routines I've ever seen. All Star Wars fans, click the link.
