Title: Mamewah and MAME ini and cfg files
Post by: TAG on August 27, 2007, 12:00:12 pm
I couldn't find an answer in the forums or in Mamewah's BYOAC wiki, which means that it's probably such a really simple question.  So, at the risk of embarrassing myself:

I'm running MAME 118 (which has the built-in, basic front end, which is good enough for right now) and have a mame.ini file and a few ini files for certain games that set forth all the parameters and settings.

I'm going to make the move to Mamewah in the next couple weeks, and I know that it uses its own ini files for the different emulators.  My question is, do I have to put all the settings/parameters in the commandline of the Mamewah emulator ini files, or is it enough to just send Mamewah to the Mame file, which will then open its own ini file (which would be the one that I'm currently using that has all the parameters/settings)?

If that made any sense, I'd appreciate some guidance.  Thanks!

Yes, that should be enough. Just pointing it to your Mame.exe should do the job.
