Like the tittle says I'm looking for a unique way to serve martinis or just vodka on my cocktail table. I am seriously thinking about putting a small tap on the side and find a way to keep the booze inside chilled.
But I need to find a cool enough tap first. I'm not totally sold on the tap in the side idea but cant think of any other ideas. Maybe someone out there has some good ideas .

well you could always just put an ice chest in your cocktail and go the liquor luge route.
-
rackoon,
for the refrigeration are you looking for temporary solution (ex: ice pak) or permanent solution (mini-fridge)?
-
While I like the sentiment ... save the taps for something that has room for chilling ... like an upright or a showcase !
-
I'd go with a tap, one on either set of controls :)

use a midget! :D

Liquid inside an arcade game doesn't sound that safe to me.

It also sounds a little cheesy to be honest. A cab is cab, purely for gaming. The more non-gaming things you add onto it, the more it starts to resemble some Ron Popeil gadget with a thousand and one uses, all of which work poorly. You start adding drink dispensers, soon you be adding condom dispensers and foot-soaking tubs to the think and it really becomes a frankencab.

no opinions! hes asking for help dont change his mind
i say wire up a cannon thatll shoot a blast of vodka in ur face if you win!

I've bought stuff from Rapids (http://www.rapidswholesale.com/) in the past. They may have a tap for you. Remember that if you're tapping something, you're going to need to pressurize it or have the tap below the reservoir of liquid.
How cold does a liquid cooling system for a computer get? If it's cold enough perhaps you could hack it to chill your vodka.
Martinis or vodka shots on tap seem like a good way to get someone to puke on your cab, but perhaps your friends have more self-control at an open bar than I do.

you really dont want refridgeration inside there condensation becomes an issue. my roomates used to have a jagermeister machine. its like a mini fridge with bottles on the top. so you pour the shot and its ice cold. it actually made ice form on the shotglass.
anyways even moister would build up on the counter and sides and top of it. regular fridges can do this too its just not on the front door. the heat from the electronics and cold from the fridge is a nasty combo. dont do it.

The closest you can cool with liquid cooling in a computer is to the room temperature. As the system is not even close to 100% efficiency, actual cooling temperature is quite a bit higher.

I'd like to see someone tackle this idea with a regular upright cab. There's just not enough room in a cocktail nevermind dealing with the temperature/condensation issues. Someone needs to build a full-sized Tapper that actually serves beer.

I wonder if Swindus can add a beverage menu to Mala. Choose your beverage dispensed with a trackball.

I wasn't thinking refrigeration that would be over the top. I think ice packs would be fine. You are right that condensation would be an issue. :banghead:
I have been searching and have found some single shot liquor dispensers that would work. i could even mounts a small drip pan. :dunno

I know its not proper, but back in the day I had a "Friend" who used a windshield fluid pump to serve alcohol in his car. I guess you could wire a 12v DC pump and a push button to serve. As for cooling, i don't know if it would be enough, but at one time there was a gimmick hat out there that advertised a cooling strip in the band that ran off of two "C" sized batteries. It seams you could wire a 3V DC trans. in for that. Good Luck

A peltier (plus heatsink and fan) might be an option for you. They are sometimes used for CPU cooling, and some of us RC racers use them for our motor cooling during intense practice sessions.

You can see more here on the RC motor cooler here (http://www.crazyrcracing.com/2.html).
You probably don't want a peltier this strong though. You will also have to accomodate for the condensation.
