Title: samsung 27 hdtv 4.3

i recently had a presentation monitor it died on me can i use this type of tv for a mame monitor it does 480p 480 i don't want any flicker the screen is 4.3 instead of 16 .9

What type of connectors does it have?  I believe you will be limited to 480i (ie. flicker) if you go the DVI to component dongle route.

i have a radeon x1300 with componet out the card can do 480 i 480 p 720 p 1080 i

How was the presentation monitor connected?  RGB?  If so, I think you will be disappointed going from CGA/RGB to component.  Also I'm not sure what benefit the high def signals will give you seeing as how most arcade games are CGA resolution.  I imagine it will be similar to running the games on a PC monitor.

the presintation was hook up using a radeon 8500 soft 15  the tv is a crt tv flat screen i miss the presintation monitor i just dont want any flicker and a arcade monitor is expensive to ship
