Title: any optical guns work with mame??

I was wondering about getting an optical gun from Happ to try to use with Mame 32 for games like duck hunt and hogans alley. Do any of these work? I have a 27" wells gardner monitor running with an arcadevga card.     :dunno

Go for the lcd topgun.  It is the most versatile gun that works on every monitor there is. 

I am pretty sure the happ guns are replacements for games like house of the dead and time crisis.  I don't know of a way to utilize those guns in mame games.

Don't go for the lcd topgun.  It isn't very accurate and you have to stand WAAAY back for it to track.  Since you are running a crt monitor, you should really be using either a hacked ps2 gun (a standard gun, not the ir-tacking business), or a hacked act-labs vga gun.

sorry I'm an idiot but what do you mean by a "hacked" gun? Do  you have to re wire it or? :dunno
