I'm looking for a 27" monitor to use. I was looking at the http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49271700.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49271700.htm) and the http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49615700.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49615700.htm). I liked how the makvision one has 1024x768 resolution max, but this will only be useful in certain games anyway and they run around the same price. Has anybody used the Makvision or the Vision Pro and have an opinion on them?

Is this for a particular game? MAME? In case you didn't know, neither of the monitors you listed handles CGA resolutions, which the vast majority of arcade games use.

Yeah, I'm looking for mainly a MAME cabinet. I'll be running various other games and emulators as well, but I suppose MAME is the main need. Any other ideas on what would be the best 27" arcade monitor then?

Between those 2, I would go with the Makovision. I say that based on the fact that the monitor guy at Happ said it is a better monitor. Also, there are 2 different 27" Makovision monitors, one does cga, ega, and vga while the other one does vga, svga, and xga.
