Title: Neo-Geo emulator?
Post by: cjyanks on April 28, 2003, 06:18:25 pm
Is mame supposed to run NeoGeo roms ? i have the newest version (.67 or something) and im using ArcadeOS as a frontend.. but when i go to run games such as Ninja Commando, they say its an invalid rom type. Can anyone help me out here? Im possibly looking for like, a fix for MAME to make it work with these games, or another emulator that ArcadeOS supports. THanks!! :)

MAME runs Neo-Geo games. Make sure you also have the BIOS file along with the game roms.

The BIOS for neogeo is of course called neogeo.zip make sure you get one that matches your mame version it was changed around version .56

Also. I am pretty sure Mame wants the arcade Neo Geo roms, and not the home version ones. I think Neo RageZ uses different ones too (maybe not, it has been a while).

Same difference.  BTW, that;s what mame runs, the arcade version:)

Nebula runs both, along with something I recently found out, supporting mvs:)
