Title: Xbox 360 Console Halo 3 Special Edition @ Amazon
Post by: displacedtexan on August 20, 2007, 10:23:29 pm: Xbox 360 Console Halo 3 Special Edition is now available at Amazon for 399.99. With BioShock and Halo 3 on the way, it's time for me to take the plunge...

I have only seen it at available for pre-order at Gamestop, and they wanted like $17 shipping and over $40 for tax. Amazon is free shipping and no tax!!

Anyone else getting one?

I'm alil slow! I clicked it and did not see! LOLOL Thx, dont know, I am about to get one of those xgamer control panels!!! :o (dont know why though, it just seems like a killer deal.)

I'm part of the tiny majority that likes it. :P I do think a Halo themed 360 similar to the faceplate that was released several months ago with some Master Chief artwork on the sides would have been more well-received.

So, yeah. I think this halo themed thing is ugly, but I at least think it's more interesting than the stock design. But, frankly, I would be embarrassed to own it for the same reasons I would be embarrassed to have a Halo poster on my living room wall.

They're on closeout at the local TRU for $2.00 along with the silver and "hot rod" versions.

I almost feel like I should buy one simply because there's a pretty good chance that I'll own a 360 eventually and if I did I would want to have that faceplate, but if it's on closeout it probably means I won't be able to find it by the time I have a 360. Not that I'm going to get one; I'm not. But I almost feel like I should. ;)
