Post by: maroguy1 on August 19, 2007, 08:49:28 pm
I just picked up a cont circus standup and I believe I am missing an encoder wheel not sure exactly.  So if someone could help me out and have what i need or send me a picture of the parts i need would be alot of help.  Thanks

When you turn the steering wheel, does the slotted black disc spin? If so, then it looks like it's OK. The board on the right with the slotted black disc is the one that should be plugged into the game.

I hope this helps.

The other optics board might just be for an alternate install or spare?  Why would you need a second wheel and where would you mount it? :dunno

There is a plug going into both boards.  Yes the disc that is there does turn.  The game works but the steering doesn't seem to turn completely either way.

I believe that the other wheel attaches to a shaft that screws into the shaft holding the big white gear because there is a hole and threads in it.  Thanks guys!!

Oh! I get, so it needs the other wheel to composite a higher resolution.  It is probably an identical wheel.  Sorry I can't be of more help, but here (link) (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=272) is one that may be worth trying.

The wheel that is on there is too small to be the correct one for the center.  I am hoping someone has this game and can get me a pic or show me specifically what i need.  Thanks for your help!!!
