Found this today... (someone may want to sticky this or put this link somewhere on the site.)
1,700 Arcade Game Manuals in PDF! Nice! :D

Nice find Magnet_Eye :applaud: Definately worth keeping a link to it.

Nice!
I have added to the Manuals section (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Restoration#Game_Manuals.2C_Schematics_and_Repair_Logs) of the wiki.
Thanks.

Gimme a zip :P

Great collection, thanks. But it doesn't have the one game I've been looking for for some time now... MACE the Dark Age. :-\ Any other good sources for arcade manuals?
-
someone should get SAINT to mirror that, lest they be lost forever
-
Holy crap. Are all 1,700 manuals listed on the same page? :dizzy:
I opened the page on the first post and I'm still waiting for it to load.

 This is exactly why these services go down -- a complete leeching of material by one or more individuals. They're likely gonna have an awful bandwidth bill from that, especially if multiple people do this :(
Wouldn't it be more cordial to contact the site owner, offer to pay them a couple bucks to have them burn it onto DVD and then forward the discs to Saint for mirroring? I'm sure they'd rather accept $20 + an hour of mastering/burning than a much larger multiple of that bandwidth bill.

No kiddin'
I gave up waiting for the page to load since I'm on dialup. I'm crossing that site off my list since it takes forever.
I'm sticking with tried and true arcarc.xmission.com for manuals.
-
Ken, it's not your dial-up ... it takes forever at 100MBits as well.
There is some stuff that I haven't seen before in the usual places, but it is pretty damned slow!

Yeah Pac-Fan is right. You ought to take it easy on the connection there. If you figure a MB a file at 1,700 files, that's well ~1.7GB you're chewing through there. It would be undeniably awesome if it was mirrored but not at the cost of losing this resource when you're only half-way through.
Spread the slurp out a bit more and ease up.
Who wants to contact the site owner?

I only grabbed the R's (just tryin to get a decent backup.. I work for my ISP and have plenty of bandwidth to give it back if it was ever needed...)
btw. there are a few different mirrors for this site..
here is one of them.

Thanks for the mirror. I'm going to have to scratch off textfiles from my list. :(
The pages take ---smurfing--- forever to load and every single PDF I tried to download either refuses to start to download or stalls at around 500K. I can't tell if resume is supported, so there's no chance of picking up where I left off.
I went browsing through some of their other directories and they got shitloads of documentation. Te site has quite a bit more than I've seen elsewhere, but the server seems to be so overloaded that the whole collection seems wasted.

Mirror crashes nicely for me .... :-\
-
I was able to get a few fo the PDF's from the mirror (couple of the cabs I got, Rastan and donkey kong) Yesterday I got like 8 of the manuals from the originalsite before it got soo slow I quit trying.

The mirror crashes for me, too. I've noticed that several of the files come up as "File is damaged and cannot be repaired" from textfiles, but I think that's just Acrobat being screwy. R-Type(Upright)(Nintendo) [Operation] [English].pdf is one of the ones I'm having trouble with. Does it work for any of you guys?
-
Both sites seem flaky for me.... sometimes work, most of the time they don't.
Most of the manuals probably came from sources like ArcArc anyways I'd bet.
