Just wandering what everyone uses as far as emulators go.
I have tryed a few in the past but I always have to pull out
my keyboard to exit back into the front end.
I need emu's for nes, snes, genesis, gameboy mono / color/ and gameboy advance. I dont remember what I was useing as I hardly ever played anything but mame.

Is there a good Nes emulator that will actually stretch the game full screen, rather then confining it to a square box with a border around it? That always irked me.
-
Right now I just use mame, znes, nebula, and zinc.
-
for gb/gbc/gba - the best emulator is visualboy advance. however - its not the greatest for using a fe for (like zsnes or gens or others) because of the esc key. I have it working with my fe, but once a game starts up, i have to press esc right away to go into fullscreen mode. pressing esc again brings up the menu.
- to everybody else - do you have the same problem? is there something i can do to fix this problem like use howards keystroke simulator or another alternative? any help?

Yup, zsnes. If you go the the config-->video menu, you'll see that there are a whole bunch of windowed and fullscreen modes. I forget what the abbreviation is, but one of the modes will stretch the screen for you. Just try all the modes for your particular resolution, and you'll find it.

Use the SDL version ;)
what is a SDL version?

what is a SDL version?
from the faq at http://vboy.emuhq.com/faq.shtml (http://vboy.emuhq.com/faq.shtml):
What is SDL?
SDL stands for Simple DirectMedia Layer. It is a cross platform library for graphics, input, audio, threading, etc... that can be used for games, emulators, etc.
VisualBoyAdvance has a special version that uses the SDL library and that provides the same behaviour on the different systems it as been ported to.
To some people, the SDL version on Windows may be faster than the DirectX version.
The main difference with the Windows version is that it is command line driven, meaning you have to type arguments at the command line in order to run. Configuration is archieved by editing a text file.
Another big difference is that the SDL version has built-in debugging features (ARM/THUMB debugger, multiple breakpoints, RAM write breakpoints, etc...)
More debugging features will be available on upcoming versions.
Go to the vba download page, grab the windows SDL version, edit the cfg file to your liking, then just setup your fe to point to the exe ;D

I was under the assumption that Zsnes was a Super Nes emulator. I guess I will try it out with Nes games when I get home.
