Title: Has anyone got the EMS 3.2 driver to work with.....

Hi all,

has anyone managed to get the LCD Light gun EMS v3.2 drivers to work with the newer versions of MAME32? Specifically MAME32b 0.117u1 and MAME32b 0.118.
I haven't been able to get the driver to recognise the trigger input while in the game only the tracking works well. The driver works perfectly under the Windows environment but just not in MAME.
I have tried Smogs driver and it does work, however the tracking is nowhere near as good as the EMS driver, but being unable to fire really sucks.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What does the ctlr section of your mame.ini look like?  I'm using Smog's driver and I have to set the following to get mame .118 to work.

lightgun       1

lightgun_device            lightgun

The problem I'm having is in .118 the crosshair doesn't follow the motion of the gun it jumps to the current location when you pull the trigger http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=70063.0.  Does the EMS driver move the crosshair when you move the gun?  I tried to use the 3.2 driver but it would get errors when trying to install and it wouldn't complete the installation.
