Hey everyone,
I recently moved my Konami Windy from LA to Chicago via freight. Upon arriving it, I found my monitor has started shaking. Sometimes it'll stop only to begin shaking again if I'm moving the joystick or pressing the buttons too hard.
I think it has something to do with the tube or the wiring. I checked the wiring and it all seems to be intact, but I'm scared to play with a lot of the stuff as I've heard many stories about getting electric shocked by the capacitors and such.
Anyone have any idea what I could do or know of a repair service that'll help me fix it (Chicago area)?

most likely-bad solder joint on the monitor chassis,bad cable connection to the chassis,bad earth,flickering marquee light or one of the hold pots needs a tweek

any easy way for me to fix this, or do i need to hire a repairman?

I think that everything grantspain mentioned is potentially an easy fix. You just need to spend some time checking everything out. Make sure connectors are seated firmly, make sure the light isn't flickering, try adjusting the hold pots. You should be able to do all of this without getting a shock (just make sure you turn the monitor off before you start touching connectors on the board).
The only potential worry is if you want to remove the chassis and look for bad solder joints. It might be a good idea then to discharge the monitor and get rid of any high voltage.

as long as it's unplugged do i have to worry about capacitors and touching them and getting shocked?
or is this not a concern?
