Title: Google sketchUp
Post by: jm_magic on August 08, 2007, 02:38:35 pm
I don't know if this is the correct forum to be posting in, but I am looking for some good tutorials for Sketchup.  If they were arcade cabinet specific that would be excellent  ;D

The reason I ask is that I have a buddy that owns a cabinet making shop.  He is very good, and has agreed to trade me some labor for a fully built solid oak cabinet, which would be excellent in my living room.  Well he needs a good model of the object for measurements and such.  And I don't know much about any other kind of program.

His website is www.anything-oak.com if anybody is interested in looking at his stuff.  I built the website by the way.............OK enough of the shameless plug ;)

If anybody could lead me in that direction it would great.

By the way awesome stuff in this forum it has already helped me out a ton.

Thanks

Hmmmm, have you actually downloaded SketchUp?  It comes with some pretty good beginners tutorials, walking you step by step through building a simple house.

You can also try the SUWiki (http://www.suwiki.org/suwiki/index.php?title=Tutorials).  There's some pretty good tuts there, from beginner to the more advanced stuff.
