Replace the whole thing over a broken pin? Just get a new header (http://www.futurlec.com/Connectors.shtml) for a few cents at any electronics shop and get soldering.

Also, you might want to keep all your questions in the same thread, because it's hard to keep up with whats happening.

you should be able to find the value of the pot from a schematic(i.e 2kohms)and get a replacement from your local electronics store instead buying a whole new board
i could be the wrong chassis but i do know that some wells gardner chassis blow crapless when there is a problem with the remote board(we stopped using wg in europe because of these problems-maybe it was the u5000)
it would be wise to pm ken layton on this matter as i think he would have all the info you require

Is it a broken pin or is it just missing to key the board to the connector?

Aside from being filthy.... I don't understand what is actually wrong with the one you have.

The missing pin is supposed to be missing. (key)
The pots ar easily replacable as mentioned. (you can ohm them to know if they work)

Spray some cleaner on it, hose it off, let it dry and go from there.

Likely it states its value on the side of the pot.
