Title: How to test (Happ?) wheel and pedal controls
Post by: scuzzie on August 07, 2007, 11:36:25 am
Thanks to all the replies to my earlier request for information on wiring these controls to mame.  It seems I'll be ble to proceed but brfore I do, I'd like to test the wheel and pedals before I start outlaynig money on setting them up.  Anyone have any clues or pointers on how I might be able to test them . . . ?

thanks again . . !

The only way I know of (besides hooking them up to a Cruis'n/Off-Road Challenge/Cali-Speed/etc cab) would be to hook them up to a power source and use a multimeter to ensure the pots are working as they should.

You could take a multimeter and test the resistance along the full range of each of the pots but I wouldn't worry about it.  If they act erractically once you have them wired up, it won't cost much to replace the pots.
