For some reason, I always see Final Fight/Bad Dudes machines for sale. The one with the rounded bubble marquee? I have no interest in this cabinet, but it keeps showing up...
Anyone else frequently see an arcade game or cabinet design they are not interested in?

MVS cabs. By far.

I HATE YOU YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!

I've actually been seeing more and more MAME cabs on random searches. I guess it's getting easier for someone just to mod old non-working stuff these days than fix it the original way.
I think alot of the original cabs have either just gotten sucked up or hauled off to the trash, and now are becoming less plentiful- it still sickens me to think of the vid of the Asteroids cab going into a mulcher.. that person should have been shot.

It really is amazing how many Dynamo cabs there are out there. The HS-series ones are fine. They're basically an easy-to-convert Centipede cab. But the Big Boys and the weird Blue and white ones are just too ugly.
The Big Boys also have the control panel at an angle that's too steep to be comfortable for any period of time.
The blue and white ones just look weird; especially around the side of the control panel.
Here's a few pics from the Dayton auction (which to be fair was mostly JAMMA junk).
BTW, take a look at the Bust-A-Move in the second pic. :)

Altered Beast and Street Fighter near me.
Some guy's been trying to sell a Street Fighter for over a year now, for the "really low price" of $500.

I see plenty of Pac and Ms. Pac machines here in Chicago. Of course the sellers always feel that they should be adequately compensated for their "ultra-rare working" machine. To the tune of $1,500 usually. :laugh2:

In my area since pickings are slim I would say I've seen more original cabinets than jamma conversions by a slim margin.

Generic Dynamo cut-corner 19". About half of those are MVS.
