Title: Old arcade power supply, new game - problems?
Post by: Aleanil on August 04, 2007, 07:47:11 pm
I'm running Mars Matrix (a CPS2 game) in an old R-type cab using the original power supply.  It boots, plays, has no problems at all.  However, the power supply is positively minuscule by today's standards.

It outputs:

 5V       5A
12V     0.5A

My question is simply, will I harm Mars Matrix by running it on such a small amperage power supply?

Thanks!

the only problem you will get is the psu crapping out,but to be honest the psu is more than adequate for the game board

Thanks Grantspain, I won't worry about it then.  PS are replaceable, Mars Matrix isn't so much  :P
