Looks to be a hacked up 75 in 1 counterfeit famicom sytem and a 14" TV. Only costs a bag of sand too :dizzy:
-
I've seen this first hand and the 14'' monitor is pitifully small, the games are those 9.99 TV game toys. The sticks and push buttons are ok'ish, not Happs by any means but with these games they won't get used much anyway. Worth about 250 - 300 at a push.

ainaM edacrA?

You noticed that too. At first I thought they put the joysticks and buttons on the wrong side. Just cause they drive on the wrong side of the road, why would they put the joystick on the wrong side.
Any idea why the picture was taken in a mirror?

It's everyone else that drives on the wrong side :P ;)
That does look like quite a waste of money...but I guess anyone that buys one has money to waste.

Unfortunately, with it being the argos catalog, they're planning on getting rid of a load. They're also doing LCD projectors now!
Shame that all that money spent on a half baked bastardisation of a cab won't be spent saving and restoring classics. The price in the Irish Argos catalog is €1500. For that I could buy a second hand cab, refurb it, customise the outside and throw a decent PC in, plus still have change.
-
Wait a few months for them to be in the sales for like £10 buy one and BURN IT
Wonder if my local store has them on display? It would be interesting to see first hand how bad they really are :laugh2:
-
Oh! Crappy cab...
Here I thought I was going to have to come in here and defend Minwah...
;D

Jesus, these are such overpriced garbage, well made or not. Isn't that from gremlin solutions, the company owned by the infamous 'JT'? (arcade collectors will need no introduction to that guy).
And I've seen the list of games elsewhere which pretty much matches one of those 'Mega Joy' pirate famicoms, so Argos .
Anyone stupid / rich enough to waste £1k on it wouldn't appreciate the real thing anyway - a fool and his money and all that.
-
you think thats expensive, the same cab at gremlinsolutions.co.uk costs £1350.00 +Vat with £65.00 +Vat for del = £1662.63 if my calculations are correct, and for our american friends thats $3388.06
:o :o

Haha! All that for a standard cabinet with undersized monitor and pirated famicom inside.
I don't object to people selling on their hand crafted MAME cabs to be honest but this is sheer extortion!

I have bought from the guy many times and he is a real decent bloke.
If you got burned by this guy, then you probably deserved it.

The editor didn't like the ad with the cab facing left (off page, most likely) and had the image flipped. Happens all the time with facial shots, I assume they did the same thing.

What a strange comment. Although I agree - anyone who buys the aforementioned ridiculously overpriced unlicensed pirated famicom-in-a-box probably does deserve to get burnt, purely for not reseaching and realising it's so bad. Are you suggesting that it represents good value?

Awful lot of matching games aren't there... :dunno
And by the way - I am sure many people have had good experiences with JT, but I have heard so many bad things over the years (by people who I know to be credible and trustworthy), I would never dream of dealing with him.
Anyone with any sense can purchase any product they offer at a much lower price.

Really?
I usually order misc bits like buttons and switches from gremlin and never had any issues, in one case they screwed up the order and sent me more than I paid for so I wasn't arguing :D lol
Where is better / cheaper in the UK? I've been using gremlin mostly because of the convenience
On the note of the topic at hand I was out and about the other day and stopped in at one of the BIG Argos stores, and they didn't have one on display, but they had 3-4 people standing around with Nintendo DS's advertising more brain training game thing
