Title: Gamecube games for a 4-year old
Post by: bakechad on August 02, 2007, 03:18:18 pm
Just got a Gamecube the other day and picked up Mario Kart and 1080 with it.

I would like to get some games that my 4-year old would be able to play.  He currently plays Burnout and Cars on Xbox with no problem.

So my question is what Gamecube games would be good for a younger child?

Thanks

Chad

It might be a good idea to just go shopping for games at a store and read the game box at the bottom and look for games that are recommended for young kids.

My boy had a lot of fun with these at about that age.

Super Monkey Ball (1 and 2)
Spyro
Tonka Rescue Patrol

You definitely picked the right system for a small child.

Here is the list of "family" games for gamecube you can get at EBgames.

My 4 yr old daughter has been playing Windwaker (Zelda) for about 6 months and loves it.  The only spot she can't do is when you have to initially get your sword from the old man because you have to read.

Monkey Ball 1&2 are simply fantastic.  Good enough that I have brought many tournaments to a grinding halt because of them, kinda like Puzzle De Pon on the SNES back in the day, yet simple enough that anyone can play them.  You tilt the stage to get the monkey, whos in a ball, through the ending arc in the shortest amount of time.
