Hi
I have a touchscreen jukebox, and a while back bought a coin mech so I can make it coin operated. The software I use allows for this. I posted this question a while back and received replies and thank the people who did. But I think I did not state the problem I have very well. All that I want to do is have it when I put in a quarter it gives 1 credit.
I am thinking a keyboard hack?? But do not know an easy way to do this I dont want anything that is overkill, something easy hopefully, the music is on computer and I have a 19 inch touchsreen any and all help would be very appreciated.
Thanks alot

Might be best to get one of those key encoders

Since you say you have a touchscreen jukebox... I'm assuming you have NO buttons whatsoever on there. (?)
Buying and installing an encoder seems to be overkill for just ONE switch. (coinmech)
Do you have a keyboard mounted anywhere inside the jukebox?
Or one that is connected to it at all times in any way?

You could get the cheapest keyboard encoder to about 20$ + postage (example from Groovy Game Gear) which is not very much, even may been a bit overkill. It is the best way to invoke a keystroke for the software to accept the coin.
Gamepad/mouse button hack may been used if software accept that, but it may not been read in all times if a movie change or such. Hince why I recommered to use a Keyboard encoder or hack.
Some other wired buttons can go for shutdown and others admin things which may been hidden for touchscreen use....

I have a keyboard hooked up at all times
Personally.... I'd crack that keyboard open and tap off one of the buttons and use that particular button as your coin mech switch.
As Space Fractal mentioned.... a keyboard encoder from Groovy Game Gear is a great way to go, I use the KeyWiz Eco for my jukebox, but mine has an actual full set of functional buttons, digit selection, etc, and I use the Shazaam function for other admin functions like shutdown, pause, volume, clear quee, etc.
For your ONE button needs I'd hack that keyboard of yours unless you have future plans of adding other admin and functional buttons later.... then go with the encoder.
My opinion of course.
