Title: Using Arcade monitor for other emulators?
Post by: mrserv0n on August 01, 2007, 05:04:28 pm
I understand how to hook up my CGA monitor now to the PC and understand mame supports arcade monitor resolutions. However does Fusion(32x, SCD, genesis) emulator be able to run on this display? SNES emulator etc.

Any arcade monitor can run at 640x480 interlaced.  So you as long as your emulator supports 640x480 at a minimum (most do), you are fine.  I've run just about every emulator successfully on an arcade monitor (they look gorgeous BTW) including NES, SNES, atari2600, N64, Sega, etc.

You may also be able to run them at their lower resolutions non-interlaced.
