well with a snes pad and a parallel port i could show you how to make an 8 button or buy a 6 button dirrect pad pro or something with more buttons that will link up if you goto my site my 6 button nullpad has been linked up to my pcs game port and all it requires is some drivers http://nullpad.cjb.net

Im not interested in ripping apart another stick to make my arcade stick when its not needed, i might get myself a multimeter and work out the rest of the circuit using my 6 button joypad if noone can tell me.

Standard joysticks only allowed for 2 buttons. So I think all others are hacks (and non standard). If you figure it out, Please post it.
btw, I don't believe that the game port on the back of SBlasters will work with more then 2 buttons. I remember this being a problem when I had a gravis thumb pad thingy years ago.

heres the problem the game port wont allow for more than 4 buttons without using a smart chipset in a controller and drivers it tried you can only get 4 buttons i had checked over and over again unless you chnge they type of signal and add drivers ive never once seen it done but hey if you figure it out tell me id love to know how.....

i figured you could since there is a standard 6 button joypad config in winxp game controllers. I also remember reading on that pagesometime ago to email him for the 6 button ver, but i never got a response. I will have a look at it and tell you if i find anything out.

lilwolf - well i have a 4 button ver working right now, the other buttons are used from the second joystick.
Im guessing to have a 6 button you have to use the directions of the 2nd joystick for buttons
-
thats one way my way is to buy a usb game pad for 15 $ with 10 buttons and make a massive set of diffrent controllers
-
Using the second joystick directions would get you an 8 button controller wouldn't it?
