I just scored my first ever Sony game console. Saw a PS One with the add on lcd screen for $5.00 at a garage sale and couldn't resist. I just need a small list of must have games to get started on my collection. When I saw it my first thoughts went to the PS portable on Ben Hecks sight. I may do something in that vein with it.
Thanks in advance for the great suggestions to come :)

theres a sticky up top of the "best" PSX games, Id start with that.

That's a good score for $5. Those psone screens are pretty valuable on ebay still. They are a modders dream and the Sony brand ones are built like a tank.
-
Best use for it is to pop it onto ebay and use the $50 to buy a Dreamcast and a few games.

I already have a Dreamcast and alot of games! I also have a Dreamcast mounted in an old Konami cab that I scored awhile back. I've been drinking the Dreamcast kool-aid for a long time ;D

I don't think you will enjoy how bad the graphics are compared to the DC.

Not that graphics matter for classic games. This thread is kind of pointless though, since there is already a sticky.

Normally I would agree, but the graphics look alot more pleasing due to the small size of the screen. My main interest in this is converting it into a battery powered portable. I will look at the sticky as suggested. I picked up ProPinball Incredible Journey and Timeshock for it today at a local used game store, $.99 each. The game play is pretty good.

Reviewed the list...Hmmm G-Police. I loved playing that game on my PC with my MS Sidewinder Joystick. It came with my first VooDoo card back in the Win/95 days. I noticed so many of these converted to handhelds, is anyone interested in seeing my progress on this? I plan on a slightly different approach, machining from Aluminum plate followed by hard anodize coating. My access to 3 axis CNC milling machines could make this pretty interesting.
