Title: PS2 Controller Hack Problem
Post by: kenpachi on July 27, 2007, 05:12:11 am
So I gutted a PS2 controller and hooked up some HAPPS goodness to it.

Everything was going well for a while...until during gameplay, it randomly pressedthe START button rapidly resulting in a rapid-fire pause just like the old school "slow motion" controls.

When I physically unplug and replug the controller it works fine again.  If I hold down the start button it stops doing it as well, until I release the start button.

What's goin on?   :banghead:

Which hacked controller did you use? Quite a few third party ones had a switch connecting points on the PCB. Might be shorted. Definitely weird behavior for a normal Sony controller.

OTOH, it should be cheap enough to replace.
