Maybe a specific thread about it will get me some thoughts. Has anyone here actually used this monitor? I've seen Ken Layton comment on it based on the brand merging with another brand, but I haven't seen anyone who has experience with the monitor say anything about it.

I'm curious to know if it's digital or analog (ie. will it remember it's settings between resolutions). It's definitely nice to see a return of 25" tubes by several manufacturers.
-
It's described as "Tri-Mode" in their part description so if I had to guess I would assume that it does not remember the settings if you switch resolutions. That was the downfall of the very nice Niemann trisync monitors that were discussed on here awhile back, at least in regards to using them in MAME cabinets.
Speaking of Niemann, I believe their 24.8" monitors are cheaper as well so if you are going to go for that type, you might look into them.

Well, I wanted this for a MAME cabinet, so something that forgets its settings every time (like the Niemanns) isn't as useful for me.
-
The Makvision's 24.8 is the same as far as forgeting it's setting. It is actaully a knock off made by WeiYa.
It is imported directly to Happ in Chicago- so I have been told and without a North American Hand print.
Not knocking the competition, but I must get 2 or 3 calls a week looking for help with this competitors monitor.
Good Luck

Any progress Rick on designing a digital tri-sync of your own?
