Title: Stand alone vector game emulators
Post by: telengard on July 22, 2007, 09:16:54 pm
These came out maybe a year or two ago.  Had some pretty advanced stuff in it for vector games.  I have, of course, lost the link.     :hissy: :dunno

Anyone remember the name of these??

Vector Dream maybe?

Vector Dream maybe?

Doesn't seem to be that one.  These were individual emulators for each game.  Lots of detail as far as options.  You could even emulate the sound of the boards humming.

Wish I hadn't lost the link   :(

Thanks for the try though!

Yeah I had only tried them once.  They had lots of advanced features oriented towards the vector games.  I had planned on putting them in the cab when I had time (which I do now) but can no longer find them.   :(

thanks for trying though...

~telengard (who would love to build a vector cab... every trip to funspot yields the same desire!)

Was it the VectorGL emulator family? They had TempestGL, AsteroidsGL and BattleZoneGL.

Sadly the website is dead (http://webpages.charter.net/astgl/). There is a record in the WayBack Machine (http://web.archive.org/web/20061011075043/http://webpages.charter.net/astgl/) and source code downloads at CAESAR (http://caesar.logiqx.com/php/author.php?id=tim_astgl).

Those are the ones!  I was searching for opengl vector emulator but didn't think of the GL.
Thanks for the info, was driving me crazy.  I'm going to dig through the source code.  Might even make some patches for MAME.   :)
