Looks out of sync.  Have you tried adjusting the monitor?

Also check to make sure all the chips are seated well on the PCB.

Could very well be a monitor issue as well.

Did it just stop working or did you pick it up this way?

I picked it up like this. Ive tried 2 sets of chips. Differant monitors and differant power supplies. All made the same picture.

no i havent tried that but why would that make it play like it is. The game plays fine its just the video is screwy. I have changed everything that i can unplug and plug back in. I havent tried to solder or unsolder anything. Mostly everything is surface mount.

KLOV says Police Trainer is standard resolution.... can anyone verify if that is correct?
(I thought it was a medium res game)

Definitly a sync issue.
Whether it's due to wrong resolution settings etc or a bad video output on the boardset I'm not sure.

Definitely standard res.  Most of the ones the company I worked for had were in Mortal Kombat cabs with K7000s.

there is a polarity switch on the board  for sync but it does nothing.

Ok I fixed it. It was a combination of the sync switch and the voltage. I switched the sync switch and played with the 5 volt adjust on the power supply and after a couple of minuites its working great. Thanks for your guys help.

Ok nevermind i have a break somewhere because when i touch or move the board it goes all fuzzy. I can see nothing but when i move it again or push in the right spot on the board it goes back clear. So i have to find the break or loose joint.
