Title: Vertical Lines Side Scrollers

When using FCultra for NES for Example,  on side-scrollers while moving to the right or left a vertical line appears and runs accross the screen.  What is this problem called?  Is this tearing? and does anyone know how to fix this

Im pretty sure triple buffering solves that, and yes its called tearing

Thanks, I will ty that,  The video options for FCultra only offer doublebuffering, but i will mess with it
