I'm thinking about using an installation of tinyxp on my bartop project. Are there any disadvantages of using it over a full install of xp. THe machine I'll be using is a p4 2.0 ghz with 512 ram. I want to save on hard drive space, and improve boot time.
Also I see a couple of different builds like beast and rev 6 which one is the best and what are the differences?

beast has 3rd party add-ons, drivers, and eyecandy, if i remember right. never heard of rev6, i believe rev5 is the real "final" version. "tiny xp final" is actually the first. tiny xp has a network printing bug, the patch is separate (which may be what rev6 is). by default it is configured as UK region.

When you say drivers, wouldn't I just use the drivers that correspond to my hardware?
-
yes. they updated the drivers that came with XP with later versions and added new ones (for older hardware) that were not included in the original xp cd.
