Hi
Since I'm finding it almost impossible to get hold of a digital multisync monitor in the UK, I'm thinking about going for just a 15Khz low-res arcade monitor (such as the Hantarex Polo/3).
So my question is: If the monitor is always in the same horiz-frequency (15Khz), will I need to manually adjust the settings to center the screen etc each time I change resolution (e.g. changing from 320x200 to 320 x 240).
Thanks

You might, yeah.

Ah right ok.
Can anyone recommend a good 20" or 21" 15Khz (non multisync) arcade monitor that I could get hold of in the UK?
Thanks

Thanks. I called him and he was very helpful as you said he would be! :) He's going to email me some info/prices on their 15Khz monitors.
I'm still interested in the Hantarex POLO/3 (21") though, as I've heard they have a great picture. Has anyone had any experience with this monitor? I plan to use it in my Mame cab (along with an arcadeVGA card) for all the low-res games, as well as playing some games from other systems such as C64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, Snes etc.

i have a multitude of polo1,polo2 and polostar but never seen a polo3,i have heard they are very good-the reason i like hantarex is the ease of repair and the fantastic technical backup.
i have also had equipment with pentranic and found their tech backup pretty good but their digital monitors were a bit of a pain,we ended up changing alot of digital chassis back to analogue, but i must add the analogue chassis were of good quality.
i think this is really gonna come down to a price issue.if you are in the u.k you will get good backup from both.
let us know what you get and how it turns out

Thanks. Yeah I think I'm gonna go with a polo/3 21". I really wanted a multi-sync, but 21" is the max size I can have in my cab (due to me wanting to rotate it) and they only do the polostar in 25" and upwards. Shame. They used to do a 21" polostar if I remember correctly.
