Title: Any mame cabs with full sideart?
Post by: Frostillicus on April 24, 2003, 04:15:13 pm: Just looking for examples of what other people have actually done. I'm seriously thinking of covering the the entire top-half of my cab with artwork, mine is a 2-piece so the bottom would most likely stay just black(for now ;) ).

I've already made a marquee, and I came up with this for the left side - the right side would probably still have morrigan but instead of bison use akuma (like my cp overlay). I had previously traced morrigan and put it on the marquee, so i'm trying to keep a good theme. Hard to pick a consistent one since the 3 rotating panels have such different looks to them. So I picked the fighter one, seemed the most dramatic.

Anyways - comments/whatever are welcome. As are options for getting this printed and attached.

Just wanted to ask if that is a vector graphic or not? Because it looks like really good qaulity and will look ever better when printed.

yeah it's vector artwork- the only way to go ;)

Add plexi glass is the way to go for even sideart.
Can't show anyone till I am done... :D.
Since plexi looks pretty good on panel so why not sides ! :)

Bugger, thought I had an original idea there ;) anyway I'll look forward to how yours turns out. I'm still trying to sort out some space for a full cabinet so thats delaying mine at the moment.

I'm currenly building a cab, done with the control panel, (although I'm going to cut a new CP top with less buttons, newbie mistake.

Anyway, your CPO is the best I've seen. I downloaded your tutorial on vector based graphics, but my dumbarse got lost in the part where you pull the lines to bend the real lines if that makes sense,,,,I know it will you you.

Dude, is there anyway I could get you to do a CPO with Ryu and Ken? If not any way I could get a copy of that Vector based CPO on your new machine? Also mabe copies of the side art? HAve you thought of doing side art of KEn and Ryu doing a dragon punch? One on each side of the cabinet? That's my ultimate game plan, but need to get better at vector graphics. At least I have A Illustrator10 now, so I can keep at it.
